Healthy Cats

There are lots of pets among my family and friends. So I have heard a lot of the concerns we have about their health.

You worry about them and love them. And then when they're sick, you pay enormous vet bills to get them healthy again.

My cats are healthy now, but it's been a journey.

I've had Winnie and Jazz as part of my life for over ten years, so you can imagine how much a part of my life they are. When I got them through a pet rescue group, I took them to my vet and got the high priced food he recommended.

Years later when my source of the special food told me it was no longer available, I panicked. What could I do use one of the "name brand" foods. And what problems that created! Winnie gorged herself, eating and eating and gaining weight -- you know the feeling, right? And Jazz became "bulimic" -- he would eat and then throw up. He got very skinny and bony, and I took them both to a vet. The vet didn't believe they were the same age and from the same litter.

Something about their food was bad for them.

I continued to look for better food, food that suited them. I finally found food through another vet, but it proved equally bad for them.

Then I found an organic, gluten-free food, and they've been OK. But just OK.

The latest addition I've made to their diet was a powder that includes vitamins, amino acids and enzymes, along with 70 trace minerals. I started adding it to their food two months ago in the quantity appropriate for their body weight (sounds familiar, right!?), and they love it.

What I have been noticing, is that they both eat it with evident enjoyment, and they eat all the food. They no longer leave bits and pieces they don't want; they eat it all.

They've been playing more and have greater energy.

Winnie's "getting skinny"
Jazz is healthy!

And Winnie is getting a "waist!" And when I play with Jazz I no longer worry that I'm going to hurt him or poke holes in him. Jazz is rounder and full of vigor!

We can all be healthy! It's simple with the right nutrition!
