| Look at those numbers! |
Each day I look at the scale and it's amazing. Some days it looks back and doesn't change. Some days it goes up. But the overall trend that stubborn scale shows is DOWN.
It's quite amazing to be on a health journey and have utter confidence that I am succeeding. In the past I've lost more weight in a shorter time, and I have gained it back - and more! - just as fast, never understanding what was happening with my body. Or what I was doing to it, and what I lacked.
This time I have confidence.
I have eliminated gluten and the bad foods from my diet. Begone wheat, barley, rye and oats. Fried foods and oils, never darken my plate again. Now I know what those grill marks do to my body, they're gone too. And nitrates, well, my food is really yummy without them! I haven't had soda for years, and now I know why I feel better without it -- my stomach can actually produce the acid it needs to break the food I eat into the valuable components my body can use.
I reserve my gluten free breads and treats for special occasions. I've always enjoyed healthy meats, chicken and fish. I have eggs every day, and love them scrambled in butter. I've long argued that those natural foods humans have eaten for centuries continue to be good for us - and they are! Fresh vegetables flavored with lemon, butter and salt - yum! Soups rich in proteins from lentils and beans along with rich meats and vegetables have warmed my winter this year!
And now I'm nutrified! With 90 for Life, it's amazing the energy I feel. I sleep well, and more soundly than I have for years. It's amusing that the first change most women report - whatever their age! - is that they sleep better once they start taking their 90 for Life - who knew! As Dr. Glidden says, "Healing is easy!" I look at life differently - I'm participating fully!
I have no life experiences of being a smaller size. I have to imagine what it's like and ask my "skinnier" role models. It's amazing that I will be - that I am! - one of them.
I look at clothing differently now. I find myself looking at "skinny" clothes and actually believing that they are designed for me someday soon. When I compare my target size jeans - those tiny little size 8s! - with the size 20s I'm so loosely wearing, I realize how many more will fit into my drawers, into my washing machine, into my suitcase.
I am traveling lighter in every way!
Thirty pounds is a life-changing amount. I find myself believing my dreams. I find myself actually living my dreams. And I find myself dreaming bigger dreams.
What a difference getting skinny makes!
Woo hoo! Wow!
